DAY 1 | ARRIVAL IN LISBON

Arrive in Lisbon and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and begin discovering the charm of Portugal’s captivating capital. Overnight in Lisbon

DAY 2 | LISBON

After breakfast, explore Lisbon, one of Europe’s oldest capitals, known for its colorful architecture, cobblestone streets, historic neighborhoods, and spectacular viewpoints. Discover the atmospheric Alfama district, with its narrow winding lanes, colorful homes, and distinctive Moorish influences. Visit the National Tile Museum, housed in a former convent and home to an exceptional collection tracing Portugal’s famous azulejos through the centuries. Continue to Belém, Lisbon’s historic waterfront district, to see the Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, and Monument to the Discoveries. Enjoy time to sample Lisbon’s beloved Pastéis de Belém, the city’s iconic custard pastry. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

DAY 3 | LISBON • QUELUZ • SINTRA • CASCAIS • LISBON

After breakfast, set out along the Lisbon coast. Visit the elegant Queluz Royal Palace, often compared to Versailles, surrounded by beautiful French-inspired gardens. Continue to Sintra, the enchanting former summer retreat of Portuguese royalty. Explore its romantic setting, historic streets, and lush landscapes that have inspired generations of artists and writers. Journey along the scenic coastline, passing the beaches of Guincho, before visiting the sophisticated seaside resorts of Cascais and Estoril. Return to Lisbon for overnight. (B) 

DAY 4 | LISBON • COIMBRA • PORTO

After breakfast, depart Lisbon and travel north toward Porto. En route, stop in Coimbra, one of Europe’s oldest university cities. Visit the historic University of Coimbra, including its magnificent library and historic ceremonial rooms, (subject to availability). Stroll through Coimbra’s atmospheric old quarter before continuing to Porto, arriving in the afternoon. Overnight in Porto. (B)

DAY 5 | PORTO

After breakfast, discover the historic heart of Porto, beautifully situated along the Douro River. Explore the UNESCO-listed Ribeira district, elegant bridges, Baroque churches, and the magnificent S. Bento Railway Station, renowned for its intricate blue-and-white azulejos. Visit the historic Stock Exchange Palace, including its spectacular Arab Room, subject to availability.

Cross the Douro to Vila Nova de Gaia for a visit to a traditional Port wine cellar. Learn about the production and aging of this celebrated Portuguese wine.

DAY 6 | PORTO • DOURO VALLEY • PORTO

After breakfast, travel into the breathtaking Douro Valley, the world’s first officially demarcated wine region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit Pinhão, nestled among the vineyards along the Douro River, and admire its beautifully tiled railway station. Enjoy a private boat cruise on the Douro, offering a unique perspective of the valley’s dramatic landscapes and terraced vineyards. Continue to a traditional Douro wine estate (quinta) to discover how Port and Douro wines are produced. Enjoy lunch at the estate before returning to Porto for Overnight (B. L)

DAY 7 | DEPARTURE

After breakfast, enjoy a private transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
